“Unofficial orbit solution puts this comet at ~4 solar radii on Feb. 19th (2015). That’s insanely close,” according to the Naval Research Lab’s Karl Battam. Comets of this size seldom survive such a close encounter. The Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) discovered this object.
